5 Internet-based tools for better writing

Word Counter

This tool helps you count the number words and character in your article. Simply place your cursor into the box and begin typing. Word counter will automatically count the number of words and characters as you type. You can also copy and paste a document you have already written into the word counter box and it will display the word count and character numbers for that piece of writing

In addition, word counter automatically shows you the top 10 keywords and keyword density of the article you're writing. This allows you to know what keywords you use most often and what percentage each is used within the article. This can help you from over-using certain words in your writing and make sure you have the correct keyword distribution.

Evernote

Evernote has become one of my most used tool as a blogger. With this tool, you can jot down ideas and it synchronizes with your account across compatible devices. Take notes on your mobile and access it on your laptop or tablet when you are ready to work. It comes with a free plan and paid plans ranging from Plus plan to Business plan. With Evernote, you can write your notebooks, To-do lists, and checklists. It also takes notes in a variety of formats: text, sketches, photos, audio, video, web clippings and even PDF.

Grammarly

Thanks to Grammarly you don't bother about mistakes while writing content online. It acts like your personal grammar coach. The free version checks Spelling, Grammar, Punctuation, and Sentence structure. The premium version offers much more to improve your writing. It checks for word choice, passive voice use, Wordiness, and clarity. The premium version gives insight into overused words and what words would be better suited, thereby enhancing the vocabulary of your content. It also gives insight into weak adjectives and repetitive words.

Ilys

Want to write without interruptions? Try this tool out. To start a writing session, state number of words you want to write, then begin writing. Be warned-  You can't go back, delete or edit anything until you have completed your word count goal. When you have reached your goal, you can then edit your text. It can be frustrating but it will challenge you to continue writing till you reach your goal.

Hemingway App

This tool grades the readability of your content. All you do is paste your text on the site and it will highlight phrases/sentences that need to be worked on. It also highlights phrases in the passive voice and words that can be more simple.
